Establishing long-term development of tourism offer via cosmic and physical phenomena in our environment, with pronounced educational character has an innovative approach to developing tourism products in this region.
The project enables visits to cultural and natural heritage sites, as well as preservation of cultural heritage through strengthening the identity of local communities by study and promotion of history of science and cooperation with museums in Hungary-Serbia border area.
Incorporating citizen science activities in planned project activities provides participation of different population groups and is giving equal opportunity for participation in events organized in the programme area such as: preparation and launch of meteorological balloons, investigation of night sky quality in terms of light pollution, study and promotion of history of science (astronomy and physics) in Hungary-Serbia border region and exhibitions of astrophotography at different locations in the programme area.
Also, joint educational programs for tourist guides will enable sustainable development of this special tourism offer.
